Is That Amazon Package a Return?
Ever received an Amazon package that felt a little…off? Perhaps it was the strange packaging, the unusual smell, or a nagging feeling that something wasn’t quite right. You might have suspected that you’d received a previously returned item. But how can you be sure?
The LPN Barcode Sticker
LPN barcodes are used by Amazon to track the location of items within its fulfillment centers. They’re typically placed on items that are inspected for their condition. In other words, returns.
If you see a LPN sticker, its most likely a returned item and may be defective.
When you return an item to Amazon they don’t necessarily sell it as used. If the package looks like it hasn’t been opened, they will consider it as new condition and slap that LPN sticker on it and sell it as new. However, many times the package had been opened and stuff taken out, replaced, or damaged and Amazon missed it.
What to Do if You Receive a Returned Item
If you suspect you’ve received a returned item, you can go to your orders on your amazon account and return the item to receive a replacement or refund. If they try to charge you for return shipping which they started doing a lot, just contact customer service and tell them it has an LPN barcode sticker on it, and that should get you free return shipping.
