The Andaz Miami Beach emerges from the ashes of The Confidante Miami Beach, a well-known property that was part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection. In 2022, the hotel was sold to Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc. for $232 million, setting the stage for an ambitious $60 million renovation. The transformation, which began in earnest after the hotel’s closure on March 25, 2024, aims to elevate the property into a luxury lifestyle destination that captures the essence of Miami Beach while offering an immersive, guest-centric experience. The hotel is newly renovated, including 2 pools and plenty of ocean view rooms and suites!
Booking Using Award Points
While hotel prices in Miami have skyrocketed, especially in the winter season, its getting harder and harder to find a good hotel at a decent price.
However, using points to book this hotel gives you fantastic value! Hyatt points are transferable from Chase Ultimate Rewards at a 1:1 ratio.
Always confirm award night availability before transferring your points since once you transfer them, you can’t transfer them back to Chase!
When searching, select the “use points” option to see availability and price. It looks like Award booking are available at this hotel starting 3-14-25!
For example, lets look at a random date in March. If I wanted to book a Miami hotel from March 23-26: The Cash price would be approx. $502 per night, while the points price would be 29,000 (Approx. $290 if redeemed for cash) per night!
For a newly renovated hotel in Miami during the winter season, thats incredible value!
